Chesterfield Man Pleads Guilty to Embezzling From Employer

CHESTERFIELD (KMOX) — A Chesterfield man has pleaded guilty to stealing nearly $3 million from his employer, CMS Communications.

According to court documents, Ramon “Trey” Luina, 42, wrote checks from CMS to himself to pay for things like construction of his lake house, private vehicles, and credit card payments.

He also created fictitious vendors and had CMS make payments to them as consultants.

Luina faces up to 20-years in prison and $250,000 in fines when he’s sentenced in November.
