ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – The little girl who inspired the St. Louis Blues and their fans through her fight with cancer will be honored at the team’s “Hockey Fights Cancer” game on December 1.

Ari Dougan’s mom, dad and two brothers will drop the ceremonial puck before the game, and her best friend on the team, Vladimir Tarasenko, will take the face-off.

Fans will be encouraged to use their cellphone flashlights during the puck drop to help “spread Ari’s light.” #SpreadArisLight

Ari, who joined Tarasenko and the Blues on a road trip last March, died November 11 after an eight-year battle with cancer.

The group Kids Rock Cancer, which Ari sang with, will sing “All Together Now” before the game, and a St. Louis police officer, who’s a cancer surviver, will sing the National Anthem.

Tickets for the game against the Kings are still available.
