ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Not one, but now two, women are accusing Minnesota Senator Al Franken of groping them, one in 2006 and another in 2010. KMOX News asked U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill of Missouri if it’s time for Franken to resign.

“I think one thing that certainly was refreshing about Al Franken was his immediate apology and his requesting the investigation. I think we ought to let that investigation run it’s course,” she says.

Franken has asked the Senate Ethics Committee to look into the allegation. McCaskill says she was “sexually harassed” as a college student and young lawmaker in the Missouri House. She says the wave of allegations is giving power to women now to speak out against powerful men who might try to take advantage of them.
