ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – St. Louis County Library is getting busy on renovations and new buildings. Last week they talked about long-term plans for a brand new branch in Eureka, but work is already underway on a new branch in Clayton.
“The Mid-county branch in Clayton is actually being replaced with a completely new branch,” says library district director Kristen Sorth. “It has a parking garage that is under the building that is in desperate need of a replacement, so when we rebuild the branch we will have a new parking facility underneath it,” she says.
She says the Mid-county branch will be closed for up to a year. Up next for renovations and expansions – the Grand Glaize, Thorn Hill and Meramec Valley branches.
