ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – It’s still unclear whether this is the last season for the Hidden Valley Ski Area in Wildwood.

Peak Resorts seems open to more discussion. The proposal to install ziplines on the property was sent to a subcommittee. Peak Resorts president Tim Boyd reiterated to KMOX’s Mark Reardon that the city’s proposal doesn’t make sense.

“The big deal killer is they’re only going to let us operate 7 months out of the year. For instance right now, with all the beautiful weather we’ve been having, under their scenario we couldn’t be operating right now,” he says.

Wildwood Mayor Jim Bowlin says the city has to start with those hour and season restrictions.

“The Planning and Zoning hour and date restrictions were seriously considered by the committee, and if they’re going to expand, maybe they expand them incrementally,” he says.

The matter comes up for discussion again next week.
