ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Local Muslims aren’t reacting positively to President Trump’s retweets of videos purporting to show Muslims attacking people, one of which has already been discredited.

“The silence on the right is appalling and disgusting, and really inhuman and un-American,” says Faizan Syed, director of Council on American-Islamic Relations in St. Louis.

Although he says that he stopped by the President’s rally in St. Charles Wednesday and spent time with Trump supporters, he says most of them didn’t know about the videos and definitely didn’t approve. But Syed says they need to speak up to prevent hate against American Muslims.

The videos are still visible on @realDonaldTrump‘s Twitter, despite backlash locally and internationally.
