FLORISSANT, Mo. (KMOX) – Several pieces of a popular, traditional Christmas display have been stolen from a Florissant yard, and the whole gang is looking for who took them.

The pieces are Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy and Peppermint Patty. They’re hand-cut, wooden Peanuts characters and the gang looking for them includes the Florissant Police Department.

They were taken Monday night from the front yard of David Counts, where they’ve been a holiday tradition for years. Counts’ father started making and putting them up in the 60s. David made the current ones about 20 years ago.

He says they are heavily anchored to the ground, so they’re not easy to steal. The thieves left Schroeder and his piano and Snoopy and his doghouse behind.

On his Facebook page, Counts writes “Good Grief. Someone Stole My Friends.”

If you see them, you are asked to call Florissant police.
