ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – St. Louis has cranes from Clayton to the Central West End and Cortex. But Missy Kelley, president of Downtown STL Inc. will get her wish to see cranes downtown very soon.
Friday we learned of a new 33-story residential tower next to the Tums factory and Busch Stadium, and this week is groundbreaking at Ballpark Village on a 29-story residential high-rise, along with a new hotel, and office and retail buildings.
“I’m excited about Ballpark Village because there will be cranes, there will be signs of progress and development and there will be more people in that area,” she says.
That office building would be the first new one downtown in what the Cardinals call a generation. Groundbreaking is 9:30 am Thursday.
