ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A Pepsi can rolling off production lines in the southern Illinois town of Marion is one collectors will want to get their hands on.

It’s a special Illinois Bicentennial edition.

Gov. Bruce Rauner says the can features some wording tied into the birthday celebration.

“#IllinoisProud. This is going to be a great year of celebration. We’re going to be having events in every county, all 102 counties, all year long,” he says.

Pepsi says the commemorative cans will be sold primarily in southern and central Illinois.

They supposedly are making five million of them.
