ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – South county residents are already mobilizing to try and protect Tower Tee — the driving range that might be replaced by McBride and Sons Homes.

“What I’m worried about is that there’s going to be a proposal, and then all of a sudden before the city of afton gets the chance to be heard, it’s just going to happen,” says resident Michael Burton

Burton got assurance from county councilman Pat Dolan at yesterday’s meeting that won’t be the case. Also expressing concerns, neighbor Terry Pelech, who doesn’t want more people in the area.

“We are afraid that if the infrastructure enlarges, or it doesn’t enlarge, that we’re going to get the traffic from McKenzie coming down our subdivision at high rates of seed,” she says.

Right now, there really isn’t even a proposal yet. Once the home builder files one, it would go the county planning commission. And councilman Pat Dolan promised to hold a town hall on the project.
