ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — The man accused of ambushing an off-duty police officer working security detail in the Central West End has been found guilty.

A jury took just a few hours to find Dale Wolford guilty of first degree assault felony discharge of a firearm at another person and two counts of armed criminal action.

Wolford ambushed Sargent Charles Lowe in July 2015 — he’s a St. Louis officer who was working security detail as a second job.
