Metal Plate Falls From Busch Stadium

The light-colored rectangle beneath the upper eaves of Busch Stadium show where a 2-by-4 foot metal plate fell to the ground Monday. Nobody was injured but large areas of sidewalk beneath the stadium have been roped off with yellow tape while inspectors take a closer look at the other decorative plates like the one that fell. It's unrelated to what happened Monday, but the statue of Rogers Hornsby outside the stadium has been completely covered by a tarp and yellow tape. A bat that was part of the sculpture was broken off in an apparent act of vandalism, according to team officials. (KMOX/Brett Blume)
