The toughht that trains wouldn’t stop in Albert Lea, is ridiculous. Back in the time frame that Al is giving, trains stopped everywhere. Trains were very much a part of travel in the US. I was drafted in the Army in 1966, and we loaded on a train in Minneapolis and then stopped in St. Paul, to take it down to St. Louis, then on buses to Fort Leonardwood.
