The folks with CityArchRiver will mark 50 years by splitting it up into two days – first on Oct. 24, with a free day-long celebration at Kiener Plaza that will feature food and drink vendors, live music, family fun and cap off with fireworks.
“Art Hill provides a natural amphitheatre, a great place to watch fireworks, you know, from over the grand basin,” he says. “But then you’ve got the Arch, and having a concert under the Arch, and seeing the fireworks under the Arch – that’s pretty special, too.”
Large donation puts CityArchRiver Foundation within striking distance of $250 million tally.
