Houston Astros general manager Jeff Luhnow says the notion that poor password protection is to blame for a computer hack of his team’s player database is “absolutely false.”
The New York Times reports that the FBI and U.S. Department of Justice prosecutors are investigating St. Louis Cardinals front-office officials for hacking into the internal networks of the Houston Astros.
We haven’t seen the roster that Houston brought with them for this game yet but they have former Cardinals Brett Wallace, Tyler Greene and Rick Ankiel in camp as position players.
The ball club says they exchanged Greene for a player-to-be-named-later or cash considerations.
