The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is looking for a suspect who robbed the U.S. bank branch in the 4300 block of Lindell around 9:45 a.m. Monday.
A Bank of America branch in the 6600 block of South Kingshighway was robbed Saturday afternoon–from the drive-thru lane.
About 9 this (Saturday) morning the U-S Bank on Lucas and Hunt was robbed. Shortly after that-the Simmons First National Bank on nearby Natural Bridge was robbed–by the same suspect. A short time later–an arrest was made.
Police say the suspect entered the U.S. Bank inside the Schnucks on East 5th Street around 4:20 p.m.
Fifty-year-old Arnell Edwards of St. Louis pleaded guilty Wednesday in U.S. District Court in East St. Louis to one count of bank robbery.
According to authorities the man in his late twenties to mid-thirties walked up to the bank teller and gave her a note.
