On the brink of a debt default, Congress finally approved a plan late Wednesday evening to temporarily end the shutdown, but nearly every Missouri Republican in Congress voted against the deal.
Walker had been scheduled to headline a pair of fundraisers Monday in Kansas City and St. Louis for gubernatorial candidate Dave Spence.
“This was an unintentional oversight and I regret any inconvenience this may cause,” the Missouri congressman wrote in a letter.
