Jefferson County Sheriff’s Captain Ron Arnhart is asking residents to watch for any suspicious activity but not take matters into their own hands.
The suspects’ crimes range from drug crimes to property crimes, such as burglary, to gun crimes such as unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm.
23-year-old Geneshia L. Grey, who’s charged with felony burglary and contributing to the criminal delinquency of a minor. Police haven’t said how old the children were.
The Belleville News-Democrat reports that the burglar stole money from the JTC Academy and ripped wiring away from the walls during the break-in late Friday or early Saturday.
Early reports are that more than two-dozen vehicles were burglarized by smash-and-grab thieves around 9:30 Sunday night.
“You see that I’ve got a bunch of gates up here,” Ronnie Light, the store’s owner, said. “Evidently, this particular time it did work because it doesn’t look like anything was taken.”
