Sleet, snow and ice hitting St. Louis has kept more than 138 arriving flights and 128 departing airplanes on the ground today.
More than two dozen St. Louis arrivals and departures had been cancelled by mid-morning.
Southwest Airlines has canceled all flights in and out of Midway International Airport, totaling more than 25 percent of the airport’s flights.
It’s up to the airlines to de-ice their planes.
A majority of flights in and out of Lambert-St. Louis International Airport have been cancelled for Tuesday due to winter storm conditions. However, Lambert remains open.
