St. Louis tops Colorado, moves to 3-1 in preseason play
Veteran netminder spent last season with Ottawa and Colorado
St. Louis’s pick, number 11 overall, goes to Avalanche as part of late-season deal.
It has been 23 games since the St. Louis Blues and the Colorado Avalanche completed a trade that opened the eyes of the rest of the NHL.
Hall of Famer Peter Stastny makes it clear: He doesn’t like Colorado’s trade of Chris Stewart and Kevin Shattenkirk to St. Louis for Erik Johnson and Jay McClement.
The Avalanche earned their seventh consecutive win over the Blues by getting late goals from Johnson and Stastny.
“There’s no doubt about that, and I say that with the utmost respect. I want Doug Armstrong to regret the trade.”
There is no doubt the players traded at 1 am this past Saturday morning will play a big role in the game.
