Cardinals Announce 2013 Coaching Staff

The Cardinals announced that they have promoted John Mabry to Hitting Coach, after he spent the 2012 season as Assistant Hitting Coach.

Cardinals’ pitching coach, Dave Duncan, has announced that he will be taking an indefinite leave from the team to help his wife, who is battling cancer. Bullpen coach, Derek Lilliquist, will be taking over. Derek joins the show to talk about this promotion, and how this will pertain to the team. Also discussing this matter is head coach, Mike Matheny. Switching over to football, play-by-play announcer for CBS, Kevin Harlan, joins Sports Open Line to talk about the Steelers vs Broncos game on Sunday. CBS sports’ journalist, Tony Barnhart and also known as “Mr. College Football”, dives into upcoming National Championship game on Monday. To top off Sports Open Line, former big league pitcher Matt Whiteside, shares his thoughts on the big coaching changes with the Cardinals.
