Today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saint Louis Zoo visitors can meet members of the Zoo’s three-generation Asian elephant family in River’s Edge, participate in interactive elephant-themed activities and hear keeper chats.
Activists hand out coloring books on animal cruelty, while circus operator says not in my back yard.
“[Elephants] are trained using tasers now, and electrical rods. They are caged 96 percent of their lives and they are not provided with adequate conditions in transferring them.”
Zoo supporters asked to dig a little deeper when donating this holiday season.
Zoo vet among those who checked them out today.
They will be checked out by health officials during the circus’ run here.
