Illinois children with epilepsy and other seizure disorders will be able to use medical marijuana products under a new law in the New Year.

The bill would allow use of a cannabis extract by people whose epilepsy is not relieved by other types of treatments.
The measure requires the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to seek grants and donations to be used for the scholarships.
