Dog found next to 71-year-old victim
Missouri police tased a father trying to rescue his 3-year-old son from a burning house.
Three people were inside the home at the time of the fire. The boy was rushed from the home in a stretcher and later pronounced dead at a hospital.
A Fire Department spokesman says the fire was put out with hand-held fire extinguishers.
Authorities say a 10-year-old Iowa boy died after he was badly burned while using gasoline to make a backyard fire with his older brother.
“This thing is not sitting still, waiting for the powers to be to make their decisions. It’s continue to do what it’s going to do.”
The fire broke out about 1:25 a.m. Tuesday in south St. Louis County. A teenage girl went to a neighbor’s house for help, and the neighbor called 911.
An ambulance crew for the city of St Louis dropped a patient off at St Mary’s Hospital in Richmond Heights this (Sunday) morning. And when they returned to their ambulance–they found it on fire.
Ed Smith, Missouri Coalition for the Environment spokesman says the goal is to keep the fire in the trash landfill away from an adjacent landfill containing radioactive waste.
Victim identified as 54-year-old Keith Whitted. Foul play is not suspected.
