Groundbreaking is planned for the spring with an opening scheduled for a year later, says Joe Edwards.
“The ones you’re getting are in the best shape,” said Bill Failing, President of Vintage Trolley Inc., a non-profit company which owns four vintage trolleys in Portland.
The St. Louis Mounted Police stables had been shuttered after lead paint was discovered in 2009 but the remediation is now complete, thanks to an endowment from Forest Park Forever.
“Now that it is shutdown there is no communication with the Federal Transit Administration due to the shutdown,” Delmar Loop developer Joe Edwards said.
