It happened around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 1100 block of Aubert, just a couple blocks north of Fountain Park.
Hot spot policing has been highly touted by city leaders as a way to turn around troubled neighborhoods on the city’s north side.
“We want to support neighborhoods,” Dotson said, “This is a very active neighborhood, a very vibrant neighborhood. We want to keep it that way.”
“Officers will patrol in uniform, driving marked police vehicle, as well as in an undercover capacity, in unmarked vehicles,” the department announced Tuesday.
It began just before 9:30 p.m. when a volley of gunshots rang out in the 4700 block of Highland in north St. Louis. When the shooting stopped there, four juveniles and an adult had been hit.
