It has been nearly two and a half years since officials with Emerald Automotive announced they would build their electric vans in Hazelwood, but the British Company who was scheduled to have vans rolling off the assembly line in 2014 hasn’t broken ground on a plant yet.
“It’s very expensive,” Thomas-Murray with St. Louis Public Schools says. “We spent over $2 million in homeless transportation last year.”
