A South St. Louis woman was discovered dead in her bed yesterday (Saturday) by St Louis Police.
Forty-nine-year-old Melvin Scherrer, of Bonne Terre, was being held without bond after prosecutors in St. Francois County filed charges Thursday.
It happened around 6:30 a.m., not far from the intersection of Minerva and Burd in the Hamilton Heights neighborhood.
