After two years of hearings on complaints of homeless loitering, crime and urination, St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay’s Board of Public Service voted to shut down the Rev. Larry Rice’s New Life Evangelistic Center.
The city of St. Louis is scheduled to announce its decision later this month on whether to revoke the hotel license of the New Life Evangelistic Center downtown.
It could be next month before the St. Louis Board of Public Service makes a decision on revoking New Life Evangelistic Center’s hotel license. A determination hearing, scheduled for today, has been postponed by the board to review all the legal documents.
Reverend Rice’s motion of a conflict of interest was denied and there’s a possibility that he could loose his hotel license for the New Life Evangelistic Center downtown.
The homeless shelter in downtown St. Louis could get its hotel license revoked after 160 people signed a petition.
