Missouri payrolls grew in January while the state’s unemployment remained unchanged at 6 percent.
The state’s unemployment rate declined to 6.9 percent, the lowest mark since late 2008.
The jobless rate rose a tenth of a percentage point to 8.7 percent.
Missouri added about 4,800 jobs in March.
The national unemployment rate is 8.6 percent.
Despite the addition of 4,200 non-farm jobs.
Second straight month jobless rate has gone up.
