Politicians from both sides of aisle cite pipeline project’s jobs and a boost to energy security.
Missouri lawmakers have passed a resolution encouraging President Barack Obama’s administration to approve a proposed oil pipeline route through the middle of the United States.
Reps. John Shimkus, R-Collinsville, and Rodney Davis, R-Taylorville, met at the Wood River Refinery Friday and Davis called on President Obama to sign the permit for the project.
“We’re here to say ‘Keystone affects all of us because climate change affects all of us,'” protestor Molly Gott said.
