Regulators say an agreement that settles a Missouri Gas Energy rate request is unlikely to have much impact on customers’ bills.
The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved an agreement among parties in a natural gas rate case filed last September by Missouri Gas Energy (MGE), a division of Laclede Gas Company.
Laclede and MGE are the two largest natural gas companies under the jurisdiction of the Missouri Public Service Commission.

Laclede will buy two of Southern Union Co.’s utilities, Missouri Gas Energy and New England Gas Co., for $1.02 billion.
