Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission
Missouri officials have added money for streetcars in Kansas City and more highway projects around the state.
State transportation officials plan to release a list of projects by June 13 that could be funded if Missouri voters approve a sales tax increase.
The plan calls for the 1-cent sales tax to last 10 years with hopes of raising an estimated $7.9 billion during the life of the tax.
The federal government has granted Missouri’s Department of Transportation permission to implement the toll along the interstate.
