The Missouri Department of Transportation will have several lane closures on I-64 in St. Louis City and on the Poplar Street Bridge that will impact weekend traffic in the area.
A water main break has shut down center and right lanes of the interstate just past Jennings Station Road.
Work for the next several months will center around access to the Martin Luther King Bridge, and work on Washington Avenue and Memorial Drive between Pine and the MLK bridge.
Both the eastbound and westbound spans of Interstate 70 at St. Charles now back to normal
MoDOT will have multiple lanes closed and some ramp closures the next three nights on Interstate 70 at the Blanchette Missouri River Bridge.
MODOT announces more road closures
The right lane on eastbound 64 at Jefferson will remain as an exit only for Jefferson Avenue until mid-August.
“If we are negligent and don’t get to the repair work, we are absolutely liable for that,” says MoDOT District Engineer Becky Allmeroth.
Construction crews will close the two left lanes on westbound Poplar Street Bridge at 8 p.m. Monday to make repairs to the driving surface.
The MoDOT is currently closing I-170 between I-70 and I-270 so Ameren crews can restring power lines over the interstate.
