St. Louis County Police are searching for a teenager who shot and killed another teen Monday morning outside an apartment complex in Country Club Hills.
Victim identified as 54-year-old Keith Whitted. Foul play is not suspected.
Just several hours after Monday’s shooting, Police Chief Dotson tweeted that no one has been willing to come forward to give police information. He went on to say “We must do better.”
The victim ran to a nearby gangway, but the shooters caught up to him and fired several rounds.
Around 3:30 a.m., a black SUV arrived at the north patrol headquarters for St. Louis Police on Goodfellow. Inside police found the child unconscious with a gunshot wound to the head.
Police say it happened around 10:45 p.m. outside a home in the 2800 block of Semple. Two suspects approached the victims, shot them, and then left the scene on foot.
