8/29/11-Dogs rescued from so-called puppy mills during recent raids throughout Missouri are now up for adoption at the Humane Society of Missouri office on Macklind. The chichihuas, Shih Tzus, Maltese, Poodles and other breeds were saved from deplorable conditions at breeding facilities in Phelps, Cole, Dunklin and Lawrence Counties. All have received veterinary treatment and vaccinated, and each has been imbedded with a microchip ID. The dogs can be seen at Humane Society headquarters at 1201 Macklind Ave. or at (KMOX/Brett Blume)
