How’s The “Rally Squirrel” Playing in Cards’ Front Office?

Squirrel’s warp-speed ride to fame subject of closed-door meetings at Busch Stadium.

10/11/11-Johnnie Brock's, billing itself as the largest Halloween store "in the universe", has run out of squirrel costumes as the St. Louis Cardinals incredible post-season run continues. Owner Ed Brock says they actually started out with 36 squirrel outfits, but quickly sold out. "A costume shop doesn't buy that many squirrel costumes, you know, it's not a big demand the rest of the year". Three dozen more have been ordered and are on the way to Johnnie Brock's at I-44 and Jefferson. This fox costume might serve as a possible substitute that could be retro-fitted to resemble the Rally Squirrel of Cards' fame. (KMOX/Brett Blume)
