School districts throughout the St. Louis area took a critical look at safety and security of their school buildings following the shootings in Newtown, Conn. on December 14th, 2012.
Parkway and Rockwood school districts made history Thursday night. The two boards established a ten year community Education partnership, which starts next school year.
Of the 15 students on the bus, ranging in age from 15 to 17-years-old, three were transported to be checked out as were three children in one of the other vehicles.
Last month, State Auditor Tom Schweich said the school district overpaid a construction company by more than $1.2 million over a ten year period.
Last week, the Missouri auditor’s office said Rockwood overpaid Glenn Construction Co. by more than $1.2 million over the last 10 years.
State Auditor Tom Schweich says overall, the district got a “fair” grade on its audit report.
Currently, Chesterfield Police have school resource officers assigned to the city’s two high schools and two middle schools, a total of four officers.
