St. Louis school leaders and law enforcement on Wednesday heard from a police lieutenant who responded to the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in December 2012 in Newtown, Conn., when 20-year-old Adam Lanza opened fire and killed 20 children and 6 adult staff members.
The Champaign News-Gazette reports Dany Sammak was arrested Saturday after he made what authorities said were “terrorist-like threats” and made shooting gestures with his hands.
Following the events in Connecticut last Friday, there is a fundamental question that keeps crossing my mind: Why did this have to happen? How many more schools need to be shot up before we act? How many children need to die over a Constitutional Amendment that addressed the right for Americans to possess muskets?
