A Republican candidate for Missouri secretary of state now can gather signatures for a voter identification initiative petition.
St. Louis County Republican Director of Elections Gary Fuhr says of the signatures that were rejected, “most of the individuals that were rejected were not registered voters.”
It’s round two of the effort to recall Ferguson Mayor James Knowles.
The effort to recall Ferguson Mayor Knowles continues. Last week, the St. Louis County Election Board invalidated over 800 signatures.
Most of those bad signatures were from either non-registered voters or voters who don’t live in Ferguson.
The dirt is flying in Inglewood, and so is speculation that St. Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke is charging forward with building a new stadium on the site of the former Hollywood Park.
Among the proposals are increases in Missouri’s minimum wage and higher tobacco taxes.
