Cardinals Sign Skip, Non-Tender Theriot

Schumaker hit .283 this past season in 117 games, including a .299 mark after the All-Star break that featured a team-best .350 average during the month of July.

Schumaker and Westbrook Added to Roster

Schumaker missed the NL championship series after straining his right oblique in the first round against Philadelphia. He had a cortisone injection to aid his recovery.
