St. Charles City Council
An eastern Missouri city is the latest among a growing number of municipalities around the nation that have approved the purchase of body cameras for their police force.
The St. Charles City Council approved the rezoning for Charlestowne Crossing at its Sept. 23 meeting by a vote of eight to two. Mayor Sally Faith chose not to veto the bill.
After a 7 p.m. vote tonight by council members, it could become illegal to text and drive at any age in St. Charles.
City Council President Dave Beckering will be introducing the bill which he says is a better option than a smoking ban.
“Part of that inspection will be certainly examining to make sure there were no meth problems there,” Faith said.
