The act comes in response to HB 70, a bill recently filed in the Missouri House of Representatives by Mike Kelley (R-Lamar).
Missouri school districts are getting a first look at how they’ll rank under changes to the state’s accreditation formula.
No accreditation changes planned with current data, however.
And while no changes will be implemented immediately, Captain Sam Dotson calls the meeting productive.
The test would assess mastery of subject matter, competency in teaching methods and even confidence and compassion.
“St. Louis hasn’t been in our school lunch report card since 2007 when they came in with a pretty low grade, an ‘F’,” a dietitian explained.
