Ex-Carter County Sheriff Tommy Adams pleaded guilty to drug possession and distribution charges on Monday in a plea deal with the Missouri Attorney General’s office.
Tommy Adams also faces state drug charges.
Former Missouri sheriff Tommy Adams is accused of distributing methamphetamine and cocaine and multiple counts of possession of stolen firearms.
Carter County Sheriff and chief deputy were both arrested in April.
A former Missouri sheriff is free on bond.
The 31 year-old is jailed on a $250,000 cash-only bond.
