St. Louis County Police and the Eureka Fire Protection District say about two dozen cars in the middle of the eastbound, 98-car train derailed, just before two this afternoon.
Mehlville Fire Department says no one was injured, no property was damaged, and, according to Deputy Chief Tim Dempsey of the fire department, the derailment was not a dangerous situation at any time.
