A whistleblower is making headlines for claiming that some veterans have to wait at least a month to see a psychiatrist at the VA medical center in St. Louis.
The VA hospital says they’ve conducted a thorough review of their productivity, and found their psychiatrists are treating 14 patients per day.
Mathews was head of psychiatry at the VA before he came forward to say that doctors were treating only half the mental health patients they had the capacity to handle.

The federal government announced that 55 hospitals, including the Des Peres Hospital, overcharged Medicare.
The bill now goes to the senate.
