The holiday season isn’t only for cooking, shopping, wrapping, eating, traveling and visiting. All of that preparation can be exhausting. Take a break to enjoy some great St. Louis theater. It will put you in the holiday mood like no other holiday activity.

The holiday theater season wouldn’t be complete without taking in a performance of “The Nutcracker.” This season, the St. Louis Ballet performs this classic at the Touhill Center for Performing Arts at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Two full weekends of 13 evening and matinee performances offer fans plenty of opportunity to experience the magic of this classical ballet. Also, don’t pass up the chance to have your photo taken with the Sugar Plum Fairy and the rest of the cast at the Sugar Plum Fairy Luncheon at 12:30 p.m. before each Saturday’s matinee performance.
