With little travel effort and only a two-hour drive from downtown St. Louis, you can be in the heart of Crawford County enjoying the scenery, waterways and activities that Steelville offers.

Getting There

To begin a wonderful weekend from downtown St. Louis, just jump on I-55 south and merge onto I-44 west. Travel the highway’s beautiful scenery until you reach exit 208/MO-19 and turn left. You will find yourself in Steelville, Missouri after about 90 miles. This weekend vacation destination will rejuvenate your senses and have you wishing the weekend would last forever.

Saturday evenings are a great time to take in a show at Meramec Music Theatre. This more than 500-seat theater has quality musical entertainment booked through the Christmas season. Doug Gabriel, The Isaacs, Greater Vision and a Christmas show in December are just a few of the entertaining events visitors can enjoy on their getaway to Steelville. Ticket prices are $18 for adults and $9 for children 12 and under.
