The St. Louis Fringe Festival prides itself on providing the latest and most dynamic performances for dance lovers to enjoy, all for an affordable price. The St. Louis Fringe supports established and soon-to-be-established artists, as well as promotes venues in St. Louis neighborhoods for them to perform. This year, the festival has provided four performances of the Leverage Dance Theater Company, from June 20 to 24, 2013, in an effort to bring together creative dancers and diverse, bold audiences.

This Broadway hit makes its way to St. Louis in September. Now St. Louisans will have the chance to see, first hand, why this great dance/musical has won six Tony awards, two Oliver awards and a Grammy. It has been said that the dancing in “Chicago” is some of the most spectacular you will ever see. St. Louis is one of 13 cities that will enjoy one, or more, of four performances at the Fabulous Fox Theater. Season ticket holders will have first choice of tickets for this great show.
The Big Muddy Dance Company: Invigorate

A mixture of classic and new dance expression is set for performances at the Touhill Performing Arts Center in June. “Invigorate” is presented by the St. Louis-based Big Muddy Dance Company, whose expertise in jazz, Broadway and contemporary dance styles is sure to delight audiences of all ages. The company of 14 expertly trained dancers and choreographers will present works of Atlanta Ballet, American Ballet Theater and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. All three performances begin at 8 p.m. each night. Tickets for these performances are $22 each.

The Muny always offers a great summer season of entertaining musical and dance performances for St. Louisans to enjoy, and this season is no exception. “Mary Poppins” is a classic favorite for its heartwarming story, music and dance; and it makes its debut appearance this year at the Muny. This production is a winner of 44 major theater awards from around the world. Don’t forget to check out the Muny’s full summer line-up of great musicals. Ticket prices range from $12 to $80.
