Frandeka’s has been in business for over 100 years and is a popular spot in the Northeast Wing, stands 30 to 40, inside Soulard Market. Pick up local beef, pork, goat, rabbit and even bison meat. This stand is also the best place to find a special treat for your pet. Though it may sound like an unlikely combination, this vendor also sells live pets you will fall in love with like puppies, cats, rabbits ducks, birds, iguanas, hamsters and chickens (so you can produce your own farm-fresh eggs). Frandeka’s is typically crowded, but the lines move quickly as the staff on hand is friendly and helpful to serve.
